Thank you for all your prayers for John. We were released from the hospital this afternoon. After being admitted into the hospital on Saturday afternoon we spent four nights in the hospital and he is now stable enough to bring home.
He was originally diagnosed with bronchiolitis on August third. After a week his cough was not improving so we returned to the doctor. He said his chest was clear and that the coughing and difficulty breathing were due to acid reflux, and prescribed an acid reducer. We suffered a week
of coughing spells, several which ended in his not breathing and turning purple. The last one was so scary we thought we were going to lose him. We thought that this was all part of the acid reflux because the doctor told us that reflux could cause apnea. After the scary episode we rush him the emergency room. We were determined not to leave the ER until they saw one of the coughing fits. Fortunately they took us very seriously.
The emergency room nurse heard his cough and immediately suspected pertissus. They admitted us and began the treatment for pertissus, which is an antibiotic. The test came back positive on Monday. Thanks to the Lord he has improved and is now home.

Yah! I am so glad to hear that. How long do you have to be quarantined?
Praise God! We were praying for all of you and the good news makes us very happy and thankful. Will continue to pray for a full recovery. We love you!
That's so great! I'm glad that God showed a lot of mercy to little baby John! Praise God! We'll keep praying and for the rest of y'all too.

Thanks for all your prayers. We have all been put on antibiotics for five days as a precaution. No one else is sick, but Joe who has a mild cough. We are non-contagious after five days. But we are staying home Sunday for good measure!
